We are seeking a remote Shopify / Shopify Plus Technical Lead to lead our existing development team and own all technology related project delivery. We are proud to offer a fully remote workplace, competitive salaries, and the opportunity to work on interesting problems and projects. 

This role is full time 40HR/week during EST hours

To be considered for this role, you should have 5+ years experience with the following:

- Full stack development: Liquid, HTML, CSS, JS, React.js;
- Shopify Plus and Plus specific features (Flows, functions, apps, etc);
- Shopify theme customization;
- Github and development best practices;
- Communication tools such as Trello, Slack, Zapier, etc;
- Complex technical solutions, troubleshooting cross-browser/platform issues, and delivering accessible products;
- Time tracking tools such as Hubstaff. 

What will you be doing day to day? 

Technical Leadership
- Oversee the technical development and implementation of Shopify Plus projects.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for clients and stakeholders.

Code Development and Review
- Develop high-quality, scalable code using Shopify Liquid, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Conduct code reviews to ensure technical accuracy, security, and compliance.

Solution Architecture
- Design and document technical solutions for Shopify Plus builds, including custom functionalities and integrations.
- Evaluate and recommend third-party apps, and tools to enhance performance and functionality.

Project Management Support
- Where needed, manage project scope, timelines, and deliverables.
- Identify potential risks and provide mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Team Collaboration
- Work with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical team members.

Documentation
- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for projects, including processes, codebases, and integrations.
